Mixing HH:MM and decimal
Choose one input format with the toggle, so 8.5 is never mistaken for 8 hours 50 minutes. Whichever format you use, the total is calculated in whole minutes and converted to decimal once at the end.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I enter 7.75 instead of 7:45?
- Yes — switch the input format to Decimal. 7.75 becomes 7 hours 45 minutes internally.
- Do blank days affect the average?
- No. The average uses only the days with hours entered.
- Can I see hours above 40?
- Yes, open optional settings and turn on the threshold split. The threshold is whatever you type — it is not a legal determination.
